Getting Started
Rate limits
Each API key may make 60 requests a minute.
Headers
Every answer tells how much room is left:
| Header | Meaning |
|---|---|
X-RateLimit-Limit | Requests allowed per minute (60). |
X-RateLimit-Remaining | Requests left in the current minute. |
Retry-After | On a 429 only: seconds to wait. |
Staying under the limit
- Use webhooks instead of polling for changes.
- When you must poll, ask for what changed only:
GET /orders?updated_since=…. - Update stock in bulk (up to 100 products a request) with
PUT /inventory. - On a 429, wait
Retry-Afterseconds, then retry with an exponential backoff.
Rate-limited requests show in your API usage on the API Key page, so you can see when an integration runs too fast.
